This is how I've been feeling for the last couple of days.

Garden Pixie
Summer, flowers and pollination - It's a busy time of year for the bees. Sometimes they get help from garden pixies..

Teleférico de Madrid, Spain
Visited the flower garden place (forgot the actual name of it) before we went on the cable cars in Madrid - took some snaps and added my own thing to it :-) I've always wanted to combine photography and my own drawing together - finally done it! (original photo below).
was going to have the girl in the water, but I changed my mind. So here she is soaking up the summer sun!

ESPAÑA!
Family and I decided to take a last minute trip to Spain to visit a family friend, didn't take an awful lot of pictures but this was such a fun week! Spain is so dry looking from above but the weather was not as hot as I thought it was going to be!
Highlight of the week for me was going to Parque Warner! We spent around 12 hours there and the queues for the rides were surprisingly short so we were able to go on the rides more than once and get our money's worth lol!
My favourite ride of them all was this thing right here:
So far, Stunt Fall is the most exhilarating ride I have ever been on! I don't think I've ever been as terrified as I was whilst waiting in the line for a roller coaster. This ride doesn't run too often because of safety reasons or something so we only got to go on it just once.
This was another really scary looking contraption - the structure of this roller coaster is made entirely out of wood, I think. It didn't have any loops but it was super bumpy! was super fun at first but then it hurt a little haha..
The park had a number of really cute, quirky, stylised buildings too which I adored to pieces! wouldn't be surprised if I end up living in a house like this!
Then we ended the day at the park with a night parade, featuring some of television's most familiar faces!

Book cover
My cousin is a writer in Indonesia and she asked me if I wanted to design the cover for her latest parenting book. It was a pretty much a last minute thing but who would turn down an opportunity to do something like this?! They provided me with the title of the book and gave me a brief info on the book, some book cover examples from their existing books, the target market and the colours that they wanted me to use, which were pastel colours.
They gave me 3 days to come up with 3 digitised ideas so I had to work super quick! Something I'm usually not good at:
The feedback I got was that they liked the 3rd design best but they said that there's already been a book with a similar design so they gave me another 2 days to come up with 3 more designs. Because they liked the 3rd design, I decided to employ the same kind of appearance (colours etc.) and playfulness to my next 3:
I wasn't really satisfied with any of these designs as I only had a few days to come up with something, I felt kind of rushed, which I feel it shows with these designs. But they got back to me anyways and said that they liked the first one. So with a few more adjustments I sent in a final:
A couple of weeks after, the book was all printed, packed and in bookstores:
I think I could've done way better if they'd given me more time to do this. But I guess this is all part of the experience which I am thankful for + I got paid as well lol! hopefully I'll get more chance to do something like this in the future and apply myself even more to create something even better!
